01

Before the procedure

The consultation assesses the tooth position, nearby anatomical structures and your medical history. A panoramic X-ray, and occasionally a 3D scan, completes the assessment.

02

During the procedure

The procedure is generally carried out under local anaesthetic. The tooth is exposed and removed using a technique adapted to its position. Stitches may be placed to support healing.

03

After the procedure

Swelling, tenderness and limited mouth opening may occur during the first few days. You will receive clear guidance on food, cleaning and prescribed medication.

Increasing pain, persistent bleeding, fever or significant swelling should prompt you to contact the practice promptly.
